Derry City 2 Glentoran 0, Russell's photos online here
For player of the season 2009/10 there will be a slight change to the format.
Last season it was pointed out by a few regular voters that when the Glens played well the number of votes was a lot higher. So from this season on we will be giving the player with the most votes 1 man off the match and at the end off the season the player with the most man off the matches is the Player off the Season.
This will do away with the situation of a player getting 60 votes and being man off the match one week, and a player could be man off the match for the next 2 or 3 weeks and still only get the same number off votes.
Thanks for Your understanding and look forward to you voting Every Week. TMen

Received this letter from Oren Aldubi a Glentoran supporter in Israel. Oren is willing too give any information to Glentoran supporters who are traveling to the match.
Dear Sir
Being the only Glen's supporter here in Tel Aviv, I'm delighted to see you on July.
Back on 1998 , on your first visit here, I was along side the Glens fans for 2 days, who came over to Tel Aviv' to have good time + sun, and traveled to Haifa to see the game.
Since then I 'am in touch with Mr. Thomas Sewell ( the gazette photographer ), and the other members of the Ballymac supporters club, in Belfast. During them last 10 years , I visited Belfast 4 times, had great time, and even was the VIP back on 2006 while you were playing a home game .
I would like to offer any free help, the club or the supporters need…
Can't wait, to your arrival. ( it will be 30-34 degrees hot here during july.)
My mobile no: 054-4642212
Every football's fan here + the media saying that the game should be a piece of cake – I hope they would be damn wrong ( I myself support Maccabi of Tel Aviv ).
Anyway I reckon that the worst " enemy " here shall be the heat and the 80% (even more) humidity.
I do recommend the Glen's supporters to stay in Tel Aviv ,'cause of the great beaches, the night life – bars, restaurant are open 24 hours a day.( a pint + chaser is 17 Shekels, which is less than 3 pounds ). And the women here………..
There are 3-4 stars hotels here, along the beach , which are not so expensive.
Haifa is only 55 miles away to the north , 70 minutes by a coach and sort of boring city.
(.)
If you want to travel around like to Jerusalem ( 40 minutes to the east) or the Dead sea ( 3 hours drive, bloody hot )- I'll be helpful.
( I also took 3 days off work during your stay here ) Word doc here...more or pdf here...more

Good to see big Deano has signed a new 1yr deal, the way he was playing at the start of the season I have no doubt he would have got player of the year if he had not picked up the injury. Also Colin Nixon has signed a new 2yr deal, hope he keeps up the good work he showed at the end of last season.
